The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, December 9, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 41 Pfc. Jack N. Skelton--Services for Pfc. Jack N. Skelton, Crockett County soldier who was killed in Italy, May 23, 1944, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive, the Rev. G. G. Pressler of Munford officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery near Bells with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Pfc. Skelton was a member of Co. I, 15th Infantry Regiment, Third Division. He saw action in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Nina Skelton of Gadsden; three brothers, Willie Bob and Ted of Gadsden and Jim Henry of Peoria, Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. Mary D. Wilson and Mrs. Nina Frances Moncier of Gadsden. |
