The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, March 1, 1951 Vol. 19 No. 1 HARRIS DEE RANDLE Mr. Harris Dee Randle, aged 80, died Monday night at 12:00 o'clock at his home in Alamo of a heart attack. He was in town Monday afternoon and apparently in the best of health. Mr. Randle was born and reared in this county. He was a retired farmer and was serving as City Tax Assessor at the time of his death. Mr. Randle was a high-toned Christian gentleman and for over 60 years a member of the Church of Christ. Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Alamo, E. V. Boone and R. E. Black officiating. Burial was in Cairo Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mattie James Randle; one daughter, Mrs. R. L. Claiborne, Westmoreland, Tenn.; two sons, Otis Randle of Little Rock, Ark., and Percy Randle of Bells; two stepsons, Billy Hopper and McNeil Hopper of Alamo; two brothers, Elmo Randle and Bert Randle of Alamo; three sisters, Mrs. Eunice Branch, Mrs. Nola Conley and Mrs. Verla Conley, all of Alamo, also six grandchildren. |
