The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, June 6, 1946 James Franklin Puckett Funeral services for James Franklin Puckett, 77, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Pond Creek by A. C. Carpenter, minister of the Church of Christ. Mr. Puckett died Sunday at 1 o'clock at his home at Brimm's Corner after being in ill health for the past two and one-half years. He was a native of Mississippi but had lived in this county since he was 12 years old. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a high toned Christian gentleman. He was a quiet and unassuming but lived a long and useful life and was highly respected by everyone who knew him. He leaves his wife; two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Owens and Mrs. F. H. Tawwater of Alamo; five sons, J. N. & Leon of Memphis, Leslie of Covington, Bernard and Harvey of Alamo; one step-son, W. J. Edwards of Bells; 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Burial in Pond Creek cemetery. Evans & Lasiter Funeral Home in charge. |
