Larry Eugene Newman Alamo, Tennessee Crockett Times June 1, 1971 Alamo Boy, 12, Killed in Car-Bicycle Crash Funeral services for a 12, year-old Alamo youth, Larry Eugene Newman, the victim of a bicycle-car accident, will be Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Garden in Halls. The accident occurred on state 54 about four miles north of Alamo about 9 p.m. Monday night. The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department reported that a Memphis resident, Miss Linda Clark, driver of the car. Said there were two bicycles in her lane of traffic and other cars were approaching in the opposite lane of traffic when the collision took place. Young Newman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Newman, was a student at the Alamo City School. He also leaves three brothers, Timmy W. Newman, John A. Newman and Alvin M. Newman, and a sister, Rhonda Newman all of Alamo.
