The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, August 29, 1946 Hallum Lewis Hallum Lewis, well known farmer of near Alamo, died Saturday night around 9 o'clock of a heart attack at the home of his sister, Mrs. Rayburn Worrell in Alamo. Mr. Lewis had not been in good health for sometime. He suffered an attack just as he arrived at the Worrell home on his way to town. Mr. Lewis was 48 years of age and is survived by his wife, one brother, Conrad Lewis, of Trenton, and four sisters, Mrs. Rayburn Worrell, Mrs. W. C. Cullipher, Mrs. Happle Bell of Alamo and Mrs. Conrad Jackson of Memphis. His father, Elam Lewis, died about a year ago. Mr. Lewis was a member of the Methodist Church. Services were held at the Methodist Church in Alamo Monday afternoon at 1:30, the Rev. J. P. Irion officiating. Ronk Funeral Home in charge. |
