The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, June 6, 1946 Joe Kail Mr. Joe Kail of Alamo, died at 2:40 this (Thursday) morning, aged 68. Funeral at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of Christ. A more extended notice will be in next week's paper.

The Crockett Times Joe P. Kail Services for Joe P. Kail, 68, who died Thursday morning of last week at his home in Alamo, were held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Alamo Church of Christ by Frank Van Dyke, minister of the Highland Avenue Church of Christ in Jackson, assisted by A. C. Carpenter, local minister. Mr. Kail was one of the community's outstanding citizens. He had a host of friends and was a high toned Christian gentleman. For many years he was a leading farmer, retiring about a year ago on account of ill health. Mr. Kail was twice married, first to Miss Addie Ann Copher who died in 1919. Later he married Mrs. Cora McLean Tatum, who survives, together with two daughters by his first marriage, Mrs. S. L. Sparkes of Nashville and Miss Katherine Kail of Alamo; and four brothers, E. C. Kail of Bells, J. H. Kail of Memphis, A. J. and R. M. Kail of Alamo. Burial was in Kail cemetery. Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Joseph Pender Kail was the son of John Frank Kail & Mary Jane (Nettie) Revelle. He was born 18 Sep 1877. |
