The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, December 23, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 43 Mrs. Carl Jones accidentally killed Friday--Mrs. Lillie Pearl Jones, 31, was struck by a car just after alighting from a Greyhound bus at Brimm's Corner Friday evening about 6:45. She was brought to Alamo in an ambulance but died a few minutes after arriving at the doctor's office. Mrs. Jones lived at Maury City and is survived by her husband; two children, Jackie and Nina Elizabeth; her father, Walter Ford; two sisters, Mrs. Donna Lee Badgett and Miss Annie Mae Ford of Maury City; three brothers, Garland Ford of Wilmington, Del.; Anderson Ford, Halls; and Royce Ford of Chestnut Bluff. She was a member of the Lebanon Methodist Church. Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Maury City Methodist Church, the Rev. L. A. Smithmier officiating. Burial was in Maury City Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Lillie Pearl Ford was the daughter of Walter Powell Ford & Nina Pearl Cox.
