The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, January 22, 1948 Vol. 15 No. 47 Mrs. William J. Hunt, wife of a well-known Memphis dentist, died at 6:40 last night at her home at 1910 Lyndale, following a long illness. She was 73. Mrs. Hunt was born in Bells, Tenn., and lived in Dyer and Trenton, Tenn., before her marriage to Dr. Hunt at Dyer, August 24, 1898. She was the daughter of the late John E. and Julia Crichlow Gregory. Following her marriage, she and Dr. Hunt moved to Memphis. Mrs. Hunt was educated at public schools in Trenton and attended college in Hopkinsville, Ky., and later Belmont College in Nashville. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. In addition to her husband she leaves a foster son, Joseph C. Whitaker, and a sister, Mrs. Church Buck of Memphis. J. W. Norris Funeral Home in charge. |
