Flossie Corene Hunt, ALAMO Services for Flossie Corene Boyd Hunt, 94, will be at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2001. Burial will be in Nance Church of Christ Cemetery. Mrs. Hunt died Monday, August 27 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital of respiratory failure. She lived most of her life in the Nance community where she had been a member of the Nance Church of Christ before moving to Trenton in 1992, where she became a member of the Trenton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Hunt, two sisters, Clara Smith and Gladys Thornton, and four brothers, C. B. Boyd, John Hix Boyd, David Boyd, and Connie Boyd. Survivors include her two daughters, Sue (and Lee Simpson) of Bartlett and Faye (and Jack) Parnell of Trenton; five grandchildren, Sheila (and Quinn) Britt of San Antonio, Texas, Paula (and Mark) Johnston of Dallas, Texas, Alice (and Scott) Dahlstrom of Jackson, Belinda (and Matthew) Palmer of Arlington, and Lora (and Jeff) Blankenship of Jackson; 10 great-grandchildren: Corey, Kristin, Cody, and Colton Britt, Tatum Moore, Leah and Emily Dahlstrom, and Carmen and Austin Johnston. (Flossie Boyd Hunt was born 13 Sep 1906 in the Center community of Crockett County, the daughter of Perry Parker Hix and Rena Belle Sipes Boyd.) |
