From "The Jackson Sun," Jackson, Tennessee, 5 Feb 1960. Mrs. Liza Graham Dies in Sleep at Parkview Courts Mrs. Liza Cummings Graham, 79, of 44-B Parkview Courts died last night in her sleep. Mrs. Graham was born and reared in Crockett County near Gadsden and had lived here since 1900. She was first married in 1900 to Billy Cummings and he died in 1920. She was later married to Robert A. Graham and he survives her. Other survivors include a son, Archie Cummings of Oakfield, four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Nor- towich of Chicago, Miss Minnie Cummings of Nashville, Mrs. Janie Barnett of Nashville, Mrs. Betty Joe West of Phoenix, Ariz., a brother, Ed Boyd of Crockett County, a sister, Mrs. Laura Plunk of Paris, Tenn., 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Her body is at Smith Funeral Home. The funeral arrangements are incomplete awaiting the arrival of relatives. (Eliza Jane Boyd Cummings Graham was born 3 Nov 1880 in the Center community in Crockett County, the daughter of James and Mary Jane Taylor Boyd. She died 5 Feb 1960.) |
