Alamo Signal Alamo, Crockett County, Tennessee Friday, Friday, July 2, 1909 Mrs. R. W. Fleming after a serious illness of two weeks or more died peacefully at her home in Alamo, Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, aged about 75 years. Her funeral was preached at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the family residence by Rev. E. S. Baker of Jackson, after which her remains were laid to rest in Alamo cemetery beside her beloved husband who had preceded her to the grave only a few months. The parents and two children of this kind and much esteemed family have passed over the stream of death. The two children deceased are Mrs. O'Conner and Mrs. Fisher, of Jackson. J. B. Fleming, an only son, and the only immediate member of the family survives. Three grand children, Mrs. Hortense Harris, Fleming O'Conner and Rob Fleming also survive. Much sympathy is tendered the afflicted son and others of the family. Susan A. Fleming was born 14 Mar 1836, died 30 Jun 1909. She was the wife of Dr. Robert W. Fleming. |
