Source: May 3, 1933 THE CROCKETT TIMES PROMINENT CONTRACTOR CALLED BY DEATH. Mr. Andrew Evans, a well known contractor, 51 years of age, passed away at his home here after an illness of pneumonia. He was member of the Church of Christ, an elder in the Church and a devout Christian gentleman. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nell Wade Evans and three small sons, 4 sisters, Mesdames, Virgil Pinkston of Jackson, Emma Moore of Alamo, and Misses Ethel and Addie Evans of Alamo. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Church of Christ by Eld. E.R, Harper of Jackson and Eld. J.E. Green of Friendship. Burial followed in Bells Cemetery.
