Willie E. Elmore died suddenly at his home Friday at Maury City. He was 58 and was born in Crockett County. A retired farmer and businessman, from 1940 to 1945 he had charge of a large plantation at Dundee, Miss. He was a veteran of World War I and an active member of the Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Maury City Methodist Church by the Rev. B. O. Clark of Trenton, assisted by Rev. Steadman Bagby of Dyersburg and Rev. E. R. Roach of Maury City and Bro. Lowrance of Maury City. Burial was in Maury City Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hollon Goodwin Elmore and six sisters, Mrs. John Etta Wyse of Helena, Ark., Mrs. Nathan Tims of Halls, Mrs. T. R. Robertson of Dyersburg, Mrs. R. H. Carter of Nashville, Mrs. R. L. Eason and Mrs. H. A. Revell of Maury City.
