The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, November 6, 1947 Services for Pfc. William Crowe Services will be held for Pfc. William C. Crowe, son of Mrs. L. H. Crowe, Sr., today, Thursday at 2 p.m. at Walnut Hill near Bells. Pfc. Crowe will be buried with military honors. Services will be conducted by Revs. Ferris and Sharpe. He is the first Crockett County boy killed in World War II to be returned to his native county. He served with the 7th Armored Division and was returned from Henri Chapelle Eupen Cemetery, Belgium. The body was escorted by Tech. 4 Harvey P. Selwitz.
