The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, January 16, 1947 Mrs. Donnie Cox Mrs. Donnie Cox of Alamo died last Thursday at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis. She had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Bert Norvell in Memphis. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Church of Christ in Alamo and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Bert Norvell and Mrs. Robert Norvell of Memphis, two step sons, Mose Cox of Jackson and B. C. Pigue of Milan, one step daughter, Mrs. Reuben Norvell of Bells, one sister, Mrs. T. F. Cates of Alamo and a host of friends. Services were held Saturday at the National Funeral Home in Memphis by A. C. Carpenter of Alamo and burial was in Forrest Hill Cemetery. The following were pallbearers: Tollie Cates of Bells, Brodie Cates of Alamo, John Huguely of Brazil, Mr. Baker of Memphis, Mr. Fisher of Memphis, Mose Cox of Jackson. |
