FUNERAL--Services for SGT Harold E. CARMEN were held at Elizabeth Church Sunday at 2 p. m., burial in Elizabeth Cemetery. He was killed in action January 6, 1945 in Luxembourg, Germany. He was 26, and had been in the service since 1940. He leaves his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert E. CARMEN; five brothers, Leon CARMEN, Robt. Jr., CARMEN, Adrian CARMEN, and King Miller CARMEN, all of Friendship, and Charles E. CARMEN, of Chickasaw, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Louise HILL, of Milan, Mrs. Martha DOSS, of Elbridge, and Miss Neldred CARMEN, of Oak Ridge.
