Humboldt Courier-Chroncle Gibson Co., TN Friday February 16, 1923 RESPECTED LADY PASSES TO HER REWARD--MRS. MARY J. BURNS died Monday at 11:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sallie Belle WALKER, on Osborne St., after an illness of several weeks. Her death was caused by infirmities of old age. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church by Rev. MAXEDON. The remains were laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery beside her husband. She was born November 11, 1839 in Crockett County, near Gadsden. She lived there until she married Rev. R. H. BURNS, in 1863, in a short while after their marriage, they moved to Gibson. At the time of her death, she was in her 84th year. She was a widow early in life, and in addition to her five children, she reared five grandchildren and two step-children. She is survived by her daughter, with whom she resided; one son, T. L. BURNS, of Gibson; one brother, T. G. H. DUNGAN, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and five grandchildren. [Madison Co.
