OPHELIA PITTMAN BRIMM Mrs. Ophelia Pittman Brimm died Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Boyd near Gadsden. Mrs. Brimm was 72 and the widow of the late Jim Brimm, leading farmer and pioneer citizen of the Brimm's Corner community near Alamo. She had many friends who will deeply regret to learn of her passing. Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pond Creek Methodist Church with Rev. Charles P. Herndon officiating, assisted by Rev. E. R. Roach. Burial was in the church cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. She leaves four other daughters, Mrs. Mary Jones of Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Festus Boothe of Maury City, Mrs. C. C. Roberts of Alamo and Mrs. Helen Lucas of Halls; a son Hamlett Brimm of Alamo; a sister, Mrs. Joe Jones of Maury City; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. |
