The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, October 31, 1946 Mrs. F. M. Bridges Mrs. Bertha Bridges, wife of F. M. Bridges, died Friday afternoon at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Bridges was 60 years of age and was a native of Crockett Mills community. She had made her home in Memphis for the past eight years. Mrs. Bridges was a member of St. John's Methodist Church of Memphis; the Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. She leaves her husband, mother, Mrs. Callie Wright of Alamo; a son, Val Bridges of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Mrs. Maurine Follis and Mrs. Locie Terry of Alamo; Mrs. Earl Kannichfoldt of Jackson and Mrs. Aultie Mynatt of Columbus, Miss.; and two brothers, Bernard Wright and Chalmers Wright, both of Jackson. Mrs. Bridges had many friends in this county. Funeral services were held at the Smith Funeral Home in Jackson Sunday afternoon and burial was in Hollywood Cemetery there. Bertha was the daughter of Rufas Dean and Callie Hill. Callie married 2nd to Walter A. Wright |
