Mrs. H. R. Branch
Services for Mrs. H. R. Branch, who died of a heart attack at her home in Maury City, Tenn., Saturday afternoon at 1, were held at the Church of Christ in Gates Monday afternoon at 2 the Rev. W. O. Beard officiating. Burial in Gates Cemetery. Garner Funeral Home in charge. She was 78.
A lifelong resident of Crockett County, Mrs. Branch was the daughter of the last J. B. and Mrs. Cornelia Parker.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. J. B. Lee of Gates and Mrs. M. N. Thompson of Jackson, Tenn.; a son, James H. Branch of Memphis; four sisters, Mrs. C. O. Moore, Mrs. M. E. Ferguson, both of Gates, Mrs. Laura McPherson of Memphis, and Mrs. A. S. Lucas of Cannon, Miss., and two brothers, W. D. Parker and E. G. Parker, both of Gates.

MRS. H. R. BRANCH BURIED MONDAY ... Services for Mrs. Humphrey R. BRANCH, who died of a heart attack at her home in Maury City Saturday afternoon were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. B. LEE Monday afternoon, burial in Gates Cemetery. She was 78. A lifelong resident of Crockett County, Mrs. BRANCH was the daughter of the late J. B. & Mrs. Cornelia PARKER. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. J. B. LEE and Mrs. M. N. THOMPSON, Jackson; a son, James H. BRANCH, Memphis; four sisters, Mrs. Mollie FERGUSON, Gates, Mrs. R. J. MOORE, Gates, Mrs. Laura McPHERSON, Memphis, and Mrs. S. A. LUCAS, Canton, Miss.; two brothers, W. D. PARKER, Gates, E. G. PARKER, Sr., Gates. She was an aunt of Emmett PARKER, Jr., Halls. Three grandchildren also survive, Mrs. Wallace WEATHERS, Pittsburg, Pa., Miss Janie BRANCH, Memphis, and Lt. Wade THOMSON, with the U. S. Army in Toyko.
