Marsha Lee Boals Washington D. C. On September 11th, a memorial service celebrating the life of Marsha Lee Boals, assistant director in the office of International Liason of the United States General Accounting Office in Washington, D.C., was held at Faith United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Miss Boals died August 6th at the Hospice of North Virginia after a long battle with breast cancer. Graveside services were held at Salem Cemetery near Gadsden, Tennessee on August 9th with Rev. Larry Kendrick officiating. Miss Boals was born July 30, 1950 in Humboldt, Tennessee. She spent her childhood in Humboldt with her parents, Marshall and Mary Kathryn Boals and two sisters, Linda and Bonnie. After graduating from Humboldt High School she attended the University of Knoxville, which in 1973 awarded her a Master's degree in Public Administration. In 1974 Marsha moved to the Washington D.C. area and began a twenty three year career with the United States General Accounting Office. She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Vernon Boals. She leaves her mother, Mary Kathryn O'Neal Boals of Humboldt; two sisters, Linda K. Lloyd of Bryant, AL and Bonnie Zimmerman of Oaklyn, NJ; one niece, Melodie Cattell of Oaklyn, NJ and one nephew, Jason Cattell of Oaklyn, NJ; one uncle, Jere O'Neal of Jackson and one aunt Carrie Boals of Jackson.
