The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, July 25, 1946 Dudley T. Bivens Services for Dudley T. Bivens, merchant of Hellen's Bluff community, who died Wednesday afternoon at his home, were held Thursday with the Rev. A. P. Evans of Fowlkes and the Rev. M. M. Ayers of Jackson officiating. Burial was in charge of Sudbury Funeral Home. Born in Hardin County, Mr. Bivens was 61. He had been a merchant at Bruceville, Tenn., before moving to Hellen's Bluff. He was a member of the Palestine Methodist Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Josephine Newman Bivens; four sons, the Rev. R. A. Bivens of Grand Junction, Elmer and Neil Bivens of Friendship and Eugene Bivens of Fort Knox, Ky.; two daughters, Miss Sue Bivens of Memphis and Mrs. J. N. Phillips of Dyersburg; two brothers, D. A. Bivens of Finley, Tenn., and E. S. Bivens of Jackson, and a sister, Mrs. C. N. Lipford of Halls. |
