NEWSPAPER UNKNOWN Mrs. J. F. Barner of Rutherford died Tuesday, February 4th, 1947 in the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. Mrs. Barner had gone to St. Louis to visit her daughter and son there. She was 70. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Rutherford this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. By Reverend Marvin Miller of Jackson. Burial was in the Rutherford Cemetery, Karnes and Son Funeral home was in charge of the service. She leaves three sons; A.J. Barner of Rutherford, Willie T. Barner of Memphis, and Jessie Lee Barner of St. Louis, and three daughters; Mrs. Harry Adams of St. Louis, Mrs. L.L. Boling of Alamo, Tennessee, and Mrs. Miles Williams of Camden, Arkansas. Mrs. Barner was born in Gibson County and was a member of the Baptist Church. Her husband J.F. Barner, before his death, was in the grocery business in Rutherford.

Mrs. Barner died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Adams in St. Louis, at the age of 71. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Adams of St. Louis, Mrs. Miles Williams of Camden, Ark., and Mrs. Lofton Boling of Alamo, three sons, A. J. Barner of Rutherford, W. T. Barner of Memphis and J. L. Barner of St. Louis. Annie was born 8 Jul 1875. Her husband John F. was born 18 Aug 1870, died 13 Oct 1944. |
