The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, September 18, 1947 W. H. Badgett, Jr. W. H. (Bill) Badgett, Jr., of Jackson died yesterday in a Memphis hospital where he had been for several weeks. Mr. Badgett was 64. He was born and reared in the Crockett Mills community. Surviving are three sons, Craven, of Halls; Nelson of Millington and Dr. Jamie Badgett of St. Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Gooch of Jackson and Miss Geraldine Badgett of Mobile; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Laster of Crockett Mills, Mrs. Bun Crutchfield of Memphis and Mrs. Annie Lemonds of Knoxville and one brother, Carl Badgett of Jackson. Mr. Badgett had many friends in the county where he lived until a few years ago. Funeral services Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Maury City Baptist Church by the Rev. J. T. Barker. Burial in family cemetery. Garner Funeral Home in charge. [William Henry Badgett, Jr. was the son of William Henry Badgett and Mildred F. (Milly) Harris. He is buried in the Perry Cemetery] |
