CROCKETT COUNTY SENTINEL VOLUME 77 NUMBER 8 THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 22, 1949 BELLS, TENNESSEE DEATH--Services for Lee ARCHER were held Sunday at Archer's Chapel Church, burial in church cemetery. He was 58 and had been in failing health for 20 years. He suffered a stroke and died Friday afternoon. He leaves his wife, Mrs. N. L. ARCHER; his mother, Mrs. Emma ARCHER of Gates; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth ARCHIBALD, of Halls, and Mrs. Martha Jean GILLIARD, of Gates; five sons, J. P. ARCHER, Methodist minister of Moscow, Tenn., Joseph ARCHER, George T. ARCHER, John ARCHER, and Charles M. ARCHER, all of Gates; two sisters, Mrs. H. E. JORDON, of Forked Deer and Mrs. J. A. GILLIAND of Gates; six brothers, Sam ARCHER, Frank ARCHER, Chester ARCHER, Ed ARCHER and Lonnie ARCHER, all of Gates and Marvin ARCHER of Chicago. |
