The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, July 24, 1947 Mrs. Lou Agee Services were held at the Old Field Methodist Church at 2:30 Wednesday for Mrs. Lou Agee, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dixie Branch of Alamo, Tuesday morning. The Rev. J. T. Walker of Whiteville, Rev. A. L. Mays of Friendship and Rev. s. T. Parham of Dyersburg, officiating. Burial in Old Field Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in charge. She was 86. Mrs. Agee was born in Crockett County and had been ill for eight months. She was the wife of the late Bethel Agee. They spent their entire life in this community. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She leaves three sons, Horace of Friendship, Jewell of Ridgely and Ira of Martin; three daughters, Dixie Branch of Alamo, Lexie Scott of Martin and Octie Summers of Friendship; one brother, George Garrett of Caruthersville, Mo.; 12 grand children and nine great grand children.
