Dated 15 Jul 1976 Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Mabel Agee, 73, were held Thursday afternoon, July 1, 1976 at four o'clock at the Friendship Church of Christ with Norman Hogan of Henderson and W.L. Rice of Gates officiating. Internment followed in Bellevernon Cemetery at Friendship. Friendship Funeral Home was in charge of the service. Mrs. Agee died Tuesday evening, June 29, 1976 at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home in Tiptonville, following a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Paul Gregory Agee, who died January 3, 1975. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a retired employee of the Friendship City School System. Born in Crockett County, Mrs. Agee was the daughter of the late Charlie and Rosa Hughes Smith. She lived in Friendship until almost four years ago, when she moved to Route 1, Dyersburg. Survivors include one daughter, Laurel Genrose Agee Frazier of Dyersburg, one brother; Emmett Smith of Maury City; one nephew, Wallace Ford Smith of Maury City; and one great-nephew. Pallbearers were: Wallace Ford Smith, nephew, Jerry Smith, John Henry York, Gene Prichard, Atlas Lipford and James Carman. |
