ELIZABETH LITTLE'S WILL
State of Tennessee )
Carroll County ( October 19th 1858
In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Little being of Sound mind and memory
wishing to dispose of the worldly goods with which God has blessed me do make
and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form following Viz
1st I will my soul to God who gave it
2nd My body to the dust from whence it came to be buried in a decent
christian manner - - - - - - as to my worldly goods I will first that all my
just debts be paid
2nd I will to my son George my Slave Jack and also my Slave Suse during
his natural life and at his death I will them to my Grand Daughter Mary Jane
Little I also will to George two mules and one feather bed and bed
furniture.
I will to my Daughter Elizabeth C. Staton my Slave Fanny which I will to be sold
for cash and the proceeds of the sale to be put into her own hands to be
disposed of as she may please and not to be Subject to the debts or contracts of
her Husband William Staton. I further will her one feather bed and
furniture to be secured to her and disposed by herself as the above with all
other property or monies that I may will her I also will that Elizabeth C.
Staton take my old Slave Janey and kep her during her life.
I also will to my grand daughter Mary Jane Little one feather bed and bed
furniture.
I further will that at my Death all the balance of my property be sold and that
the proceeds be equally divided between my two children above named and Subject
to the above restrictions I now proceed to nominate and appoint John
Browning my sole Executor of this my last will and Testament - done and signed
and sealed in the presents of Test

At the above term of Said the foregoing was offered for probate as the last will and testament of Elizabeth Little Decd. and was duly proven and ordered to be recorded of which the foregoing is a copy test.
