Rightman Hilliard Will

I Rightman Hilliard do make and publish this as my last will & Testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made. First I derect that my funiel expencisand all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any moneys that I may died possess of or may firs come into the hands of my Executor. Secondly, I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Hilliard two negros by the names of Vilett and Frank during her life and at her death Frank to go to my son Rightman Hilliard and Vilett and her increase to heirs of my osn William Hilliard Decd. I also give to my wife two cowes and a Sufficency of Hoggs to do her. I also give my wife my cart and steers and my mare and corn anough to do her. I give all my household & kitchen Furniture I also wish Britt to be hired out and his hire to go to the support of my wife and at her death to go to John Hilliard. I give to Polly Tucker a nigro girl by the name of Cherry to have her at anytime after my death I give to my son Robert Hilliard a negro boy by the name of George to have at any time after my death. I wish a nough of the ballance of my property to be sold to satisfy all my debts. I wish at the death of my wife my land to be sold and Equally divided between my two grand sons James W. Hilliard & William W. Hilliard and James C. Parker and the heirs of Martha Merrell. I give my small shot gun to Albert Hilliard & my Muskett to William Jackson Hilliard and at the death of my wife all the remaining property to be sold and equally divided between my hires. lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my Son Rightman Hilliard my Executor in Witness whareof I do to this my will set my hand and seal this the 10th of November one thousand eight hundred and forty.

The last will and Testament of Rightman Hillard Decesed was this day produced in open court and the Execution thareof was duly proven by the oaths of Hiram Lawes & George S. Gulley Subscribing witnesses thereto, to be the act and deed of the Said Rightman Hilliard & ordered to be recorded.
