Ezekiel Hilliard's Will

 In the name of God Amen.

 I Ezekiel Hilliard of the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

First after paying my burial & funeral Expences I allow all my just debts to be paid and all the remainder of my Estate of whatever nature to be give to my beloved Mother to be used and disposed of by her as she may think proper and I hereby direct and require my Executor not to dispose of my saddle horse in paying my debts if necessary to do so at all until all my other effects are exhausted The County Court of Carroll County may appoint an Executor to Carry out the purposes of the will given under my hand and seal this 7th day of May 1856.

At the above term of said court a paper writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of Ezekiel Hilliard Deceased was produced in open court for probate and the same duly proven by the testimony of J. G. White & Joseph Laycock subscribing witnesses thereto.  It was then ordered by the court that the same be duly recorded of which the foregoing is a copy test.
