I have added a search engine here.  There are so many names in these wills including many, many slaves.  Even if you don't find an actual will, you may be able to better establish the where-abouts of a long lost ancestor. Make sure you check any and all spelling variations.  I typed them as they were spelled in the copies I have.  Many times, names were spelled incorrectly.  Also, names with Mc were often two words ie: Mc Lane  not McLane.   I hope this will help you find who you are looking for.

The pages here are re-typed from pages that were typed up about 1935 from hand-written pages, so there are bound to be errors. To avoid any errors, please send for a copy of the will from Carroll County. I have also kept the spelling the way I found it.

If you write to the recorder of the Carroll Co. Courthouse, Huntingdon, TN and ask for a copy of the will of ______ from will book A page ____, they will send you a copy. It cost me $10.00. NOTE that some of the names were not included in the index and also some of the page numbers are mixed up between the index and the actual pages.
