From the Cleveland Progress,
Friday Aug 9, 1895 Under the heading Blue Ridge Items
"Uncle Thomas Allison, the
oldest man in Blue Ridge, died on Sunday morning, the 28th at
12:30 o'clock. Uncle Tom will be missed very much. He was 81 years
old and the father of 22 children 16 of whom are alive. His first
wife died on the same bedstead about 38 years ago. His remains
were entered at Mt. Pleasant Monday at 11 o'clock. The Rev. C. C.
Spence preached the funeral."
