A brief Background

This family descends from Esli Hunt Sr. born Jan 10,1759 in Bedford County,Virginia Died in Greenville County,South Carolina May 8,1837. Esli Hunt Sr. Esli Hunt Sr. fought in the American Revolutionary War and soon afterwards settled in South Carolina Harvey Cleveland Hunt would be Esli Hunt,Sr.'s grandson. Harvey & his brother, Waddy Thorpe Hunt and their mother Margaret Ann Bowen Hunt left South Carolinia in January 1839 for Georgia. Harvey remained in White County,Shoal Creek Area the remainer of his life.
