This great new research tool, The
Portal to Texas History, is hosted by The University
of North Texas Libraries. This site includes photos from
areas and people in Texas, including Clay County! Photo
submissions for Clay County were contributed by the Clay County
Historical Society.

County Veteran Photos
The Clay County 1890 Jail Museum - Heritage Center is collecting
photographs of Clay County Veterans in uniform of any military
branch. Pictures can be 8 x 10 or smaller, please
include: name; rank; branch of service; date, time and
place of service; awards and any other information you would
like to share.
If making a copy is inconvenient, please send the original and
request its return after we copy it. Bring photos and
information to the Museum located at Graham and Ikard Streets in
Henrietta, Texas

If you live in or near Clay County and would like to be a
volunteer to do look-ups at the Clay County Courthouse for
records relating to pensions, land deeds, vital records, etc.,
please .
We are also looking for volunteers to help transcribe
records to add to this site to help researchers in their search
for records and ancestors
