Mt Zion Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery
 
Located behind the Hills Chapel M B Church at the corner of Macon and Charles Bryan Roads.
 
There are about two acres in this plot of ground and
several hundred graves are contained in it, among whom
are some slaves who are buried in the rear.
 
Several of the community's pioneer families are represented within this cemetery. Numbered are among are the following;
 
The Douglass and Cobb families; Charles Hatcher, who was a native of Virginia and who died at the age of 37 years.
Wineford Nelson, consort of J D Dickey, and the children of William and C V Matlock. Others are; Champlin, Dickinson, Roberts and Gilliam.
