Hello,

My name is Andrew Hirsch and my family and I had the priviledge of living next to some very great teachers; Gertie and Laura Morris.  They are currently living in Euless, Texas, but grew up and taught school in Gibson County, TN. 

We went to visit them recently as we no longer live in Euless and I had the chance to show Miss Gertie the internet.  I told her I would search for her name and she thought that surely nothing would come of it.  However, she was wrong.  The following link came up in the search result:

She is in the bottom row on the far left (faculty).  She had tears in her eyes as she knows the power of the interenet, but had no idea that there would be records of her in cyberspace.  Unfortunately, she does not have email.  However, if there is any information that she could provide, I am sure she would like to help.  Miss Gertie and Miss Laura both grew up in Gibson county and I am sure could provide quite a few details, but they would have to be oral as they do not have email access.

In any case, I wanted to pass on there story in hopes that you may know of others in the class or any classes in this time frame that may have fond memories of Miss Gertie. 

Miss Gertie and Miss Laura live alone in Euless, TX (just outside of Dallas) and were great, loving neighbors when we lived there.
