Gertrude McGee in sitting in the Hammock with
her brother Russell Charles McGee at her side. Fannie Pearce McGee is seated in the chair
and is the widow of Richard Charles McGee who died of Tuberculosis and buried in
Oakland Cemetery in Trenton. Standing is Fannie's brother, Thomas Dayton Pearce
and his wife Mattie.
With the guitar is their son, Solon McGee.
The picture was taken in Sonoma, California. After Richard Charles McGee's death in
Trenton, Fannie took her two children west and operated a boarding house with her
brother. Fannie was from Milan, TN.
