Dear Husband
I received thee letters from you the 8th of this month,
which was very gratifying and cheering to me, because I have heard from ___+
___you had been gone 2 weeks. I may have felt very anxious. I was apprehensive
you were sick as something was the matter, but when I received the news that you
were well, I was relieved. Oh, I do want to see you so ___ of in one of your
last letters told _____ ____ my prayer. Never have I afforded a prayer to my God
since you left, but what I have remembered my dear husband, for his protect and
guard you.
My health is improving. I am nearly well, well of my greatest trouble.
There has been a change in my health. Tell brother his family are all well. The
family are all well. I don't know any news of any importance. Trenton is
rather dull. I do not ___ of much doing more than usual. Ann talks about you
every day nearly and wants to know when you are coming home.
