Chicago, IL. She was the 3rd of 9 children born to Bettie (1865-1944) and
John Buchanan (1867-1947).
Rosie Buchanan was first married to James R. Burton (1886-1962)
and had 4 children: Jimmy, Pauline, Anna and Marguerite. She later
married Smith Toles (1880?-1947). Rosie, and both husbands are buried in
Lincoln Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
