This is the house of Joseph James Dozier. It was located about 1 mile
west of Bells Chapel north of Seed Tick Road. The picture was made about 1900.
Seated are Joseph James and Rachael Rebecca Dickey Dozier. The three girls are l to
r: Vergie Bell Dozier (later McCollum), Adelia Forrest Dozier (later May)
(my
grandmother) and Lillie May Dozier Parker. Am unsure about the two riders.
Joseph James and Rebecca are buried at Bells
Chapel.
Notice the only thing unsymmetrical about the picture is the placement of grandma Dozier.
I believe that was because Lilly was pregnant.
