Grand father was Archibald Howell born in Wayne county, NC Grand mother was Elizabeth Howell born in Wayne county, NC Father was Caleb Howell born in Wayne county NC Mother was Celia Boyet Howell born in Wayne county, NC I, Thomas Charles Davis Howell was born in Wayne county, NC on 22 February 1814. I was married to Sarah Stewart (Stuart) on 5 July 1835 in Gibson county TN. Her father was Samuel Stewart Jr., who was missing in the battle of New Orleans in 1815. Her mother was Ann Wallace of North Carolina. Caleb and Celia Howell had 8 children as follows: 1. Elizabeth, married John Holloman 5. Caleb, married Mariah Hobbs 2. Ann, married Jerdan Dickson 6. Salina McCall, died John The Howell family came to Gibson county in 1824. There were not many settlers in this part of the country at that kind. The court house in Trenton, the county seat, was being built of poplar logs. The Park and McCall families came some time after 1826. John Miller Park was the baby brother of the Park sisters who had married the Reed brothers and John Porter. John M. Park and is wife' s mother and step- father, James Armstrong McCall, came from Bedford County before 1828, when Sarah Ann Park was born in Yorkville. The Thomas C. D. Howell family had three boys (Jason Elihu, Henry Nelson, and William Jasper) born in Yorkville and the John M. Park family had 7 more children born, for a total of 9 children when they all left with the L D S Church in 1844 and 45. They all met in Iowa in 1846 before going on to Utah.
