MARRIAGE LICENSE
"The world was sad; the garden was a wild; TO ANY ONE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO SOLEMNIZE MARRIAGES:
This is to authorize you to solemnize the RITE OF MATRIMONY between
STATE OF TENNESSEE, DYER COUNTY
L. A. Thurmond (Seal)
The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That whereas, the above bounden
George Schoolfield has this day prayed and obtained a License to marry
Jennie Brimm, Now if there is no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage and
for which license is desired, then this obligation to be void; otherwise, to remain in full force and virtue in law.
STATE OF TENNESSEE, DYER COUNTY I solemnized the RITE OF MATRIMONY between the within named parties on the 15 day of March, 1891 ____________________(no signature or name) Returned on the 8 day of March (March is crossed out and April is written beside it) , 1915
Aaron G. Davis - Clerk Note: George was the son of French Schoolfield and Unknown Tharp. This researcher does not know the parents of Jennie Brimm. I also do not know the L. A. Thurmond. Children of George and Jennie were, Luther, Ida, Annie Nell, Ethel, John, Georgia, Mary and Mandy. |
