MARRIAGE LICENSE

TO ANY ONE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO SOLEMNIZE MARRIAGES:
This is to authorize you to solemnize the RITE OF MATRIMONY
between
Jesse Johnson and Rosa Lownes [Loines] of your County,
agreeably to an Act of the General Assembly in such cases made and provided:
Provided, that there is no lawful cause to obstruct the Marriage for which
this License is desired; otherwise these shall be null and void, and shall
not be accounted any license or authority for you or either of you for the
purposes aforesaid, more than if the same had never been prayed or granted.
Given under my hand at the Clerk's Office in said County this 17 day of
September, 1904.

Know all Men by these Presents:
That we, Jesse Johnson and of County of Dyer and State of
Tennessee, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Tennessee, in the sum
of Twelve Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to which payment, well and truly to be
made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, and each
and every one of us, jointly and severally, by these presents.
Witness our hands and seals this 17 day of September, 1904.

The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That whereas, the above
bounden Jesse Johnson has this day prayed and obtained a License to Rosa
Lowens [Loines], Now if there is no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage
and for which license is desired, then this obligation to be void;
otherwise, to remain in full force and virtue in law.
