MARRIAGE LICENSE

TO ANY ONE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO SOLEMNIZE MARRIAGES:
This is to authorize you to solemnize the RITE OF MATRIMONY
between
Sam Hubbard and Dora Bush
of your County, agreeably to an Act of the General Assembly in such cases
made and provided: Provided, that there is no lawful cause to obstruct the
Marriage for which this License is desired; otherwise these shall be null
and void, and shall not be accounted any license or authority for you or
either of you for the purposes aforesaid, more than if the same had never
been prayed or granted. Given under my hand at the Clerk's Office in
said County this 6 day of June, 1892.

Know all Men by these Presents:
That we, Sam Hubbard and W. S. Jackson of County of Dyer and State of
Tennessee, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Tennessee, in the sum
of Twelve Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to which payment, well and truly to be
made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, and each
and every one of us, jointly and severally, by these presents.

The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That whereas, the above
bounden Sam Hubbard has this day prayed and obtained a License to marry Dora
Bush, Now if there is no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage and for
which license is desired, then this obligation to be void; otherwise, to
remain in full force and virtue in law.

Note: Sam Hubbard was the son of Sarah (Sally) A. Loines and her first
husband. Sam was raised by Jesse T. Alsup and often used the name Alsup as
did his children. Dora Bush was the sister of George Dolphus Bush, Robert
Bush and Mattie Bush and Sam Bush.
