State of Tenn. Crockett County
I, HARRIETT R. CONNELL knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life, make this my last Will and do by this hereby revoke all other wills heretofore made by me.
1st I bequeath and give to my beloved husband JAMES T. CONNELL all my property of whatever kind I may die seized and possessed of but he is to hold my home tract of land, situated in the 8th civil district, and bounded on the North by WARREN, on the East by BOLING, on the South by LYONS and BOLING and on the West by Brownsville & Eaton Road and the lands of WARREN containing 73 acres more or less, for his natural life then it shall be vested as hereinafter directed. He shall hold the other tract lying across the Brownsville and Eaton Road, it being the land purchased of J. T. HARWELL and ___ (blank) HUGHES in fee simple for all intents and purposes.
2nd I bequeath to my son WESLEY E. CONNELL the remainder interest in my home tract of land to vest in him at the death of my husband in fee simple. And he being not of sound mind I nominate and appoint my beloved son STANTON S. CONNELL to act as his guardian to take the rents and profits of the sd land and apply the same to the maintainance of WESLEY.
Now should my husband die before I do then the land bequeathed to WESLEY shall vest in him at my death in fee simple and the rest of all my property shall go to my children in equal shares and should WESLEY die and my husband be living at my death then all my property shall vest in him with title absolute in fee simple.
I being sound in mind fix my signature to this knowing the full intent of the same.
