W. R. Yearwood--W. R. Yearwood died Friday afternoon at 1:15 at his home in Alamo after a long illness. He was 76 years of age and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Yearwood was a funeral director in Alamo for a long time, retiring several years ago when he sold to Evans & Lasiter. He was a native of this county and a member of one of the pioneer families. A number of relatives and friends survive beside his daughter, Mrs. R. B. Cheatham of Alamo and a sister, Mrs. Billie Faircloth of Jonesboro, Ark. Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Alamo with E. V. Boone, local minister officiating. Burial was in Belleview Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge.
William Royals Yearwood was the son of Aaron L. (Dutch) Yearwood and Sallie A. Bridger. He married 1st 24 Nov 1892 to Ella Norville, and 2nd 18 Oct 1922 to Mary Esther Quinley.
