The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, May 22, 1947 Herbert D. Porter Services were held Saturday at Cox Chapel Church of Christ for Herbert D. Porter, roofer, who died Thursday of injuries received in a fall at International Harvester Co. plant in Louisville, Ky. Burial was in Cox Chapel Cemetery, Hunt Funeral Home in charge. He was 28. Mr. Porter was born and reared in the Coxville neighborhood near Humboldt and spent most of his life in the Humboldt area. He leaves his father, C. C. Porter, his sister, Mrs. Walter Cox, and three brothers, Culton, Marshall and Gaylon Porter, all of Humboldt. |
