Mrs. E. S. Carter Passes Away

Mrs. E. S. Carter passed away last week at the home of her sister, Mrs. O. L. Hill after a lingering illness. Mrs. Carter lived for many years at Cape Girardeau, Mo., and after her health failed came with her husband to make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Hill who tenderly watched over her and nursed her during her illness. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at Goosmann Funeral Home with her pastor, Rev. J. P. Irion in charge of the service and she was buried in Bellevue Cemetery. Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband and two sisters, Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Olga Murdock of St. Louis. Mrs. Carter was a Christian character and every life that came under her influence was made better. It was a happy privilege to have known her.
