Dear Sir:
In this application about which you wrote on July 14th, I find that the evidence of yourself in the case has never been signed or sworn to. I will ask you to go before a Notary Public and make an affidavit that your evidence in the application for pension of Mrs. Palmore filed in the pension office July 21, 1915 is true to the best of your knowledge and belief and send to me. Tell me also why the property which belonged to her husband and which is said to have been transferred to her daughter at the request of her husband was so transferred. What was the amount of it, and value of it?

Sir,
My evidence given before a Notary Public in regard to the widow of B. B. Palmore, Mrs. Marthy Palmore was correct in every particular.
He gave his little home worth about $400.00 to an afflicted daughter who is incapable of surporting herself.
He and his wife wished this daughter to have the home after their death and thought the surest way to do this was before he died.
This small home - a house and lot in this place is all the property he had.

Dear Sir:
I have your affidavit dated Aug. 24th. There is another matter in connection with this case which I overlooked. There is not sufficient proof of the date of the Lady's marriage. She does not give the date herself, and while you give the date you say you were not present. Please give me a copy of the marriage record, or the affidavit of two persons who knew them as man and wife before January 1st 1890, and up to the time of his death.
Yours truly,

My dear Sir,
Mrs. Marthy Palmore wife of B. B. Palmore, a pensioner who died a few weeks ago was married to him Nov. 15th 1872.
I am personally knowing to the fact although I was not present at the ceremony.
The married service was performed by Rev. James Robertson who has been dead many years. It has been so long ago and as the new County of Crockette has since been organized here we do not know where to find any record of the above marriage. I was the family physician of both families herin and knew the facts.
Wm. B. York
We the undersigned citizens of Crockette Co. knew that B. B. and Marthy Palmore were lawfully married previous to the year 1880.
