Served as an officer 1941 - 1968 Retired as a Colonel.
Served in World War II, mostly in the South Pacific; China before the Communist takeover; Korea during the Korean War; in the conflict in the Dominican Republic; and in peacetime posts in North Carolina, Rhode Island, Florida, Japan, California, Taiwan and again in North Carolina, where he retired from Camp Lejeune.
Buried in Barrancas National Cemetery, US Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL.
